Minimal Shelf Bracket
cults3d
I created these brackets as a challenge to see how compact I could make them while still maintaining the strength needed to hold a large shelf's weight. During my experimentation, I didn't test the exact breaking point of these brackets (the chipboard test did show some stress), but I placed 15 kilograms on a 122-centimeter by 20-centimeter pine shelf with two brackets for several days and observed no visible signs of strain. Considering their size, these brackets are remarkably strong, although it's probably best not to overload them with too much weight, such as 30 rolls of filament at once. The main single-wall hole is four millimeters in diameter. The three holes drilled into the shelf are three millimeters across.
