Minimal Raspberry Pi Base Plate

Minimal Raspberry Pi Base Plate

Base plate for Raspberry Pi 4B (should fit other models as well) that raises the board and doesn't block WiFi or Bluetooth. I made this so that I could attach a heatsink to cover the top of the Raspberry Pi, providing a minimalist, functional case for the RPi. There is a lot of clearance around the location of the antennas, so this should have a fairly small effect on the range of the raspberry Pi for WiFi or Bluetooth on that side of the computer. The M2.5 screw holes are threaded, but are generally pretty tight. You should either get self-threading screws or else screw in the M2.5 bolts ahead of time and then unscrew them to chase the threads. The photos show an RPi 4B with a Geekworm 11mm heatsink. To be clear, this print does not include a heatsink! This print will provide a somewhat nicer bottom that you can screw the heatsink into. If you have a heatsink that is metal top and bottom, the WiFi reception of your RPi will be heavily compromised and you might consider using/modding this plate for the bottom of the enclosure.
