Mounting a Model 3 onto a 2020 or 2040 extruded section is straightforward. To ensure stable and secure mounting, I incorporated M3 threaded inserts as stand-offs and for threading screws directly into them. While it's not strictly necessary to use these inserts, an M3 screw can still effectively cut threads through the holes, making this step optional.
