Minimal Dashcam Mount

Minimal Dashcam Mount

thingiverse

My dashcam came with a suction mount, and after it fell one time too many, I decided to design this custom mount myself. The design was inspired by another mount shown online, which I attempted to replicate but didn't work for my specific application. The gap between the two halves of this design is quite large, but I wanted to avoid having to sand down other mounts that didn't hold tight enough without modification. This new design meets all of my requirements: it works, is compact, holds the dashcam securely in place, and doesn't fall off easily. I used this mount to attach a dashcam to my rear window using 3M double-sided foam tape. Yes, I did give it a colorful touch with a Sharpie pen. Print Settings: Printer: Dremel Idea Builder 3D40 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.1-0.3mm Infill: 5-25% Notes: Printer settings aren't crucial, but they should be set to make the mount sturdy enough that applying pressure to the screws won't cause it to break in half.
