Minimal Citadel Paint Pot Holder
thingiverse
This is a redesign of a paint pot holder with one key objective: keeping the paint pot lid extended upright at 90 degrees instead of folded back at 180 degrees. It's still a work-in-progress design I'm testing out, and changes are likely to occur but it's working well so far. Regarding size: Many users report that this design works fine, however some have reported mixed results when trying to get their paint pots to fit in this design. Variables such as filament and print settings, as well as variations in pot sizes (expansion of the paint pot plastic), might be contributing factors. If you're experiencing trouble getting your pots to fit, scaling up the object slightly may help. Note: The tall version is currently two separate volumes. Some slicers will automatically merge these into a single solid object. In Simplify 3D, go to "Mesh" -> "Separate Connected Surfaces" before slicing. Preview your layers after slicing and confirm that the stem and base are treated as a single object.
