Total Wine opened up close by recently and they carry 5L mini kegs. They have Oberon and Warstiener Pilsner, both of which I really like. I can use them in my mini kegerator but I was thinking if I could use them in my main kegerator that would be awesome. I saw a few videos on YouTube where people have used brass Ts and ball lock fittings but I really didn’t want it to be that heavy and want to try to avoid brass. I know Kegland has used their plastic carbonation caps and T to use a soda bottle as a pseudo mini keg and that got me thinking; what if I could use this setup with a mini keg instead? A little work in Tinkercad and I’ve come up with the following. I still need to test it for leaks but I can’t blow air through it so I’m pretty confident it’ll work.
