MINIgolf Stick / Putter
thingiverse
We're hosting an "indoor apartment Mini-Golf Tournament" and built some awesome Mini-Golf-Putters to get things rolling.\nThe putters pair perfectly with this great golf ball: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6025\nThrow in some homemade obstacles, and it's guaranteed to be loads of fun!!!\nAs winter creeps up on us here in middle Europe (don't even think about those boring snowy days!), I figured you'd want to see what we're up to, in case the cold weather shuts everything down!\nInstructions: print out the MINIgolf_PUTTER.stl file. You'll get a solid piece using the 0.3 layer resolution and 3 shells on a Makerbot Replicator 2 – I swear by that setup.\nIt's a real speed demon, too, clocking in at just one hour of printing time!\nYou're also going to need some wood or metal rods. I settled for a sturdy round wooden rod measuring 300mm long and 20mm thick as my handle (added a neat little hole and used 10mm wood glue). You should get two pieces in total: a handle, with its matching companion – another longer rod, of course.\nOnce that's all taken care of, add some hot glue or screw the piece from outside. The end result will be an ultra-functional Mini-Golf stick standing at around 93cm long and sporting a neat black duct tape covering for comfort. Just wrap that in tight to get the job done!\nThe blender file included allows you to make your desired modifications, changing that standard putter's diameter from its 10mm dimension. Want to go all out with something standard on your Imperial side of town? Don't be afraid to tell me, I'll even chuck in a file that will blow you away!
