Reuploaded with Correct Title: A Custom Minifig for Enthusiasts. Designed and Built with Love.
---- I'm thrilled to share this custom minifig, a labor of love created specifically for fellow enthusiasts. I've always been fascinated by the LEGO Group's iconic design, and I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to pay homage to their work. The Protecor of Gotham minifig was my inspiration, and I knew I had to build something similar. While it shared many components with its predecessor, the wiring proved to be a bit more complex, requiring connections to both the torso and helmet. I'd like to extend my gratitude to Skimbals for sharing their original minifig design, which served as a great starting point for this project: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:170076 (currently unavailable, but included in the Thing files). **LED Illumination:** The LED lights were a highlight of this build. I opted for 5mm LEDs with a brightness rating of 900 mCd, which worked beautifully within the helmet and cast in transparent superglue. However, I noticed that light intensity was significantly reduced when it passed through the clear (somewhat) eyes. If I were to recreate this minifig, I'd choose different LED colors for a more uniform appearance – brighter for the eyes and darker for the torso.
