MiniExtruder
thingiverse
This small extruder is perfect for multi-color or multi-material 3D printers. The design was inspired by RepRapPro's multi-material extruder, created by Adrian Bowyer. The extruder body accommodates a tongue to hold the bowden tube, making it compatible with eMaker-Huxley and RepRapPro hot-ends without additional modifications. Additionally, the idler screw hole allows for easy removal if the stepper motor is dismounted. The small gear's grub hole has also been enhanced for a stronger nut retainer. Updated versions (V2) include assembly instructions, changes to the extruder block, and improved motor fitting. OpenSCAD sources are available, although not ideal. Assembly videos can be found on YouTube, and pictures of mounted extruders can be viewed on Flickr, showcasing mounting kits for M8 or M6 threaded rods. To build one extruder-drive, you will need 1 each of extruder-body.stl, small-gear.stl, large-gear.stl, and tongue.stl, along with various screws, bearings, and a hobbed bolt. For mounting to M8 or M6 rods, specific parts are required. Good luck with your build!
