MiniCNC Plotter/Engraver - version 3 - Full
thingiverse
As promised, I'm excited to share with you my latest creation: the MiniCNC Plotter/Engraver version 3! This full set is a game-changer for anyone looking to take their DIY projects to the next level. The decision is yours: do you want a powerful plotter or a precise laser engraver? Either way, I've got you covered! Here's what makes this MiniCNC Plotter/Engraver version 3 so special: 1. I used sturdy steel rods from DVD players with a diameter of 3mm - the thicker and longer they are, the better! 2. The motors from DVD burners drive the belts with ease. 3. The workspace is limited by the mechanisms, but it's still an impressive 57mm by 57mm - bigger than my previous versions, and that's something to be proud of! To bring this MiniCNC Plotter/Engraver version 3 to life, you'll need: * 2x DVD step motors with threaded rods, obviously * 4x ball-bearings with an outside diameter of 8mm and an inside diameter of 3mm * 4x steel rods with a minimum length of 100mm (3mm in diameter) - the longer they are, the better! * 2x steel rods with a minimum length of 60mm for the Z-Axis * 1x Arduino board - any will do * 2x RepRap stepper controllers or any other motor controller you like to use * Some cables and a few minutes to assemble everything * 1x laser or pen (8mm in diameter) I hope you love it! A small gratification or donation would be nice for the design - just a few quid will do. If you'd like to show your appreciation, please send me a private message with your PayPal details and I'll send over more information.
