This zen garden comes with 2 base parts, the internal zen garden with pre-positioned rocks to be filled with sand and its accompanying rake. This can be printed and used on its own.The second is a larger “surround” with a recess for moss planting.While zen gardens come in many forms, a main theme is the use of rocks to represent various things, but a rule that tends to be followed, especially in Buddhist zen gardens, is that the stones should not be uniform or follow a distinct pattern as it's believes they should represent the “chaos” or imbalance of life.Over the years it also became a common theme to introduce moss to zen gardens, therefore the secondary base comes with a planter specifically for this, to create a moss “wall” around the zen garden. Both bases can be printed without supports, the rake will likely need some.
