This 3D wonder was a Christmas gift for my parents: a miniature version of our childhood home! I spent countless hours transforming the initial sketch into a printed masterpiece, and the end result was well worth it. The final product consists of 11 intricately designed parts, carefully crafted using openSCAD to ensure seamless assembly. Each floor can be easily detached for individual inspection or display. To make the model printer-friendly, I resized all the parts to approximately 1/65 scale, perfectly suited for my trusty reprap mendel. I printed each part in high-quality PLA with a precise slice thickness of 0.2 mm, resulting in an incredibly detailed finish. The entire printing process took around 65 hours to complete, but the end result was well worth it. To ensure the roof stayed securely attached during printing, I applied a thin layer of hot-melt glue, easily removable once the model was complete. I'm thrilled that my parents had as much fun with this gift as I did creating it! For more information about this project and similar endeavors, visit www.ifeelbeta.de.
