Miniature Vault
thingiverse
Build your miniature vault with ease. Yes, you can stash some valuables inside (a stack of quarters will do), and yes, you can lock the door which, when locked, is secured by two wooden rod bars, but don't rely on this vault if you want to safeguard precious items. Even if you glue it together, which isn't necessary, a blast of dynamite or a truckload won't be needed to break in, and it's light enough for easy transport. For decoration purposes only. And the fun of building/constructing is yours to enjoy. Print Settings Printer: K40 CNC laser cutter Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Notes: I recommend using the PLT file. The model requires 4 mm thick plywood. I'm cutting at a speed of 8 mm/sec with power set at 10 mAmp. Post-Printing Sanding & assembly Laser-cutting leaves a burned effect on the edges. Use some sandpaper to remove and polish. Then, watercolor paint is an option. See attached image for assembly. Custom Section The vault stands tall when constructed. With door open It fits snugly inside an A5 envelope, making it perfect for gifting. If you want to send it as a gift, consider adding a paper holder to keep all parts together in one place.
