Miniature Space Shuttle
thingiverse
The Miniature Space Shuttle is the third installment in my series of Miniature Rockets. Measuring 5 inches (12.5 cm) tall when printed as-is, this model can be scaled up or down to suit your needs. I designed the space shuttle with a flat bottom, ensuring that it can be printed without any splicing of the model. Furthermore, I positioned the shuttle slightly lower on the tank than in reality, allowing the vehicle to rest on its tail and stand upright like a tripod. To print this model, you will need to print the following items: 1. Shuttle 2. Tank 3. Two Boosters While I strive to design my models for printing without support, using supports may produce a cleaner finish. Assembly is straightforward. Simply arrange the components as shown in the picture: two boosters on either side and the shuttle in the middle. Each component should fit snugly onto the tank, but feel free to glue them in place if desired. However, if you plan to repeatedly disassemble and reassemble the model, I recommend avoiding glue.
