Miniature Queen Anne Chair
thingiverse
This miniature Queen Anne style chair is designed for scale models and dollhouses at 1/2" = 1'-0" scale (1:24). The chair was crafted with delicate proportions while ensuring durability; it prints without support, resulting in good looks with minimal cleanup needed. However, printing at 50% (1/4" or 1:48) may cause fragility. Testing at 200% (1" or 1:12, typical dollhouse scale) might require support, which has not been verified. Printing was done on a Thing-o-matic MK7 with a heated build plate (HBP), employing the standard 0026 profile and print-o-matic set at 30mm/sec feedrate, 20% infill, and layer height of .3. Two chairs were printed simultaneously to save time. An extra large raft was used, increasing the raft margin to 10mm. The "double" file contains discs for chair legs' stability, while a single chair version is available without these discs for advanced users. Post-processing involved using a hot knife attachment on a soldering iron to remove loops and nubs as well as separating the legs from the discs and raft. Suggestions for enhanced print quality are welcomed.
