Miniature Magnetic Base for 28mm miniatures (Buckyballs 5mm)

This is a 25mm diameter base perfect for holding 28mm miniatures (D&D, etc.) in place. Simply glue or blu-tack it to the bottom of your existing minis so they can stick securely to a whiteboard or other magnetic surface. It relies on 5mm spherical neodymium magnets, similar to Buckyballs, which are easily removable if you just friction-fit them. For even more flexibility in magnet arrangements, print the five-hole base instead. If speed is what you need, go with the two-hole base for a quicker print. To assemble this clever base, simply print two copies and insert the magnets into their respective holes before pressing the two halves together until they snap into place. The balls should now be free to rotate inside the base, providing a smooth and reliable hold. I've personally tested this base with one and two magnets, and the results are impressive. One magnet will keep your miniature securely in place even when shaking the whiteboard, but two magnets give you extra peace of mind knowing it's locked down tight.
