Miniature Lighthouse

Miniature Lighthouse

I created a compact and straightforward miniature lighthouse design that's simple to assemble and print. This model was designed in Solidworks specifically for my own use, but I've decided to share it with others who may find it useful. The total assembled height of this model is just under 6 inches, while the tower itself measures 4.4 inches tall. Due to the limitations of my MP Select Mini printer (which can only handle prints up to 4.7x4.7x4.7 inches), I segmented the design into manageable parts. Although these pieces fit together securely due to friction, it's a good idea to use superglue on the top portion for added stability. A small hole in the floor of the top part allows for easy passage of wires if you plan to add an LED light source, just like I did with my model. My plans include painting this lighthouse and installing a pulsing high-power LED inside it. Once complete, I'll attach it to a rocky island made from high-density foam, creating a visually striking scene. **Print Settings** * **Printer:** Monoprice Select Mini * **Rafts:** Yes * **Supports:** No * **Resolution:** 0.175mm * **Infill:** 20% * **Notes:** The tower is hollow (1mm walls), so scaling down the design may not be advisable due to potential printing issues with very thin walls.
