Miniature Garden Tools
thingiverse
Combined existing objects from Thingiverse to create miniature garden tools for cake decoration. Separated handle into its own object so it could be printed with wood PLA, ensuring a tight fit on the tab, allowing either rake or shovel head to stay without glue, although a drop or two won't hurt. The void in the tool head is only 0.2mm larger than the tab on the handle, meaning your machine's tolerances may require filing down to ensure it snaps together properly. Print Settings: Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2-0.1 Infill: 15% Notes: The handle and shovel head are simple objects that don't need special consideration. A layer height of 0.2mm is sufficient, and you can print as fast as desired. For the rake head, I used 0.1mm layers and slowed down to 30 mm/sec. Individual tines at this scale can be challenging, but they came out well despite some stringing that needed careful removal between them.
