Miniature Chessboard

I designed several variations of a compact chess board that can be printed on a small scale. To save space, I printed the thin version at 85% x-y and 100% z magnification. The second image showcases the board paired with the classic spiral chess set from Thingiverse (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:470700), printed at 32% scale, with the king scaled down to 30% x-y and 32% z to maintain a uniform base size. In the picture featuring blue squares, you can see me prepping the board for painting using painter's tape. The final image displays the painted set and board, although I encountered some issues with the tape, which didn't adhere as well as expected - I might attempt to touch it up with a knife or sandpaper. This chess board wasn't printed with a brim, as I wanted to maximize its size on my small printer, but unfortunately, one corner lifted slightly and adding a brim may help keep it flat.
