Mini-z PVC DIY race track

We craved a mini-z track at work to satisfy our weekly racing needs, but the real track was too far away, so we built our own. We had some carpet lying around and bought 16mm PVC-pipe for electrical installation, printing the corners and connections we needed. The first version shown in the picture was technically challenging but still a blast to drive. We tried using 3M dual lock to attach the pipes to the surface, which worked somewhat, but it wasn't ideal when banging into walls due to our subpar driving skills. What really impressed us was the type of velcro used for cables in network stands. We glued this to the plastic brackets and it stuck remarkably well! The track is approximately 4.2m long and 2m wide, with two versions: version 1, which we tested but deemed wanting, and version 2, yet to be tested. Version 2 was created in response to our desire for more speed and better flow. It will be put through its paces this week. The larger rounded corners on the track are not printed; instead, they're bent using a PVC-pipe tool commonly used by electricians (available at affordable prices from hardware stores like Biltema in Sweden). The cost of the pipe is roughly 1EUR per 3m length, making it an economical choice. Enjoy!
