Mini-z Euro Truck Lexan Body Mount System
thingiverse
Some local hobby shop guys had experimented with Euro Truck Mini-z racing ideas, using Golem "flat nose" trucks. I needed a way to mount the body without using body posts or pins, so this system lets me easily take it on and off just like a regular Autoscale body. Several of us have since purchased Marka and other "slant nose" or Mack truck styles, listed as Marka fronts. **Update:** The front mounts I've updated to version v4 for the Marka and a v4 for the Golem, both with 2mm holes that fit standard Kyosho Mini-z size screws without cracking. I've also trimmed them back a little to prevent splitting. This should help resolve previous issues. Also, there are PN side clips available if you use the PN 2.5W chassis. They're basically shortened versions of the original design to clear battery clips. You can also use them on stock chassises to save weight. The rear cross braces depend on your chassis setup. The SpringFrictionBump version is the widest and fits across a R246 carbon fiber friction plate with oil spring, but it requires cutting out part of the body to allow the "bump" through. The Stock Spring bump also needs this modification. The low bump works decently if you have a low profile friction plate without an upper spring. I've used Lexan-style wings on my truck in the pictures, which also fit regular Autoscale bodies. These wings have holes pre-made for the Audi R8 LMS body and work well with the trucks. ***Some people have asked why I'm using the low profile crossbrace, but it's because I don't run an upper spring - it's the only cross brace that doesn't require cutting out part of the body. Feel free to send me a tip if you like the design.
