Mini Window Blinds Wand Extension

Mini Window Blinds come with short wands, the control used to tilt the blinds. I wanted to extend the wand, so I purchased a long wooden dowel at the hardware store that was 3/8-inch diameter, and 44-inches long as an extension. I cut the dowel into two 22-inch lengths since I have two windows and was installing two sets of mini-blinds. I needed to connect the round wooden dowels to the hexagon wand control, so I designed a connector for the two different shapes. Each extension added 22-inches, but this was short, so I designed a long end cap for it. I have also included a short end cap if you don't need a long one. Paint the wooden dowel before assembly so the color matches the original wand, and maybe even paint the extension.
