Mini Wind Turbine

This is my first post on Thingiverse, still a work in progress. My entire concept revolves around harnessing less energy from the grid, every small step counts! I printed the wing upright with a raft to secure it firmly to the build plate (image attached). Follow me for more innovative designs! UPDATE: 02-09-18 I've tweaked some dimensions and incorporated additional components, including a 3:1 gear ratio. At present, I lack all the necessary electrical parts to test this design's ability to generate sufficient power to charge a phone or provide lighting. To overcome this limitation temporarily, I designed a gear ratio system to facilitate movement of a small piston up and down, thereby creating an output in the form of water pumping action, effectively mimicking a wind-powered waterfall. We're taking on the challenge!
