I created this project for my 3D Modelling class during summer school in 2020, where our main objective was to create something that showcases color, texture, and asymmetry. I chose to work on a scorpion model because they are incredibly fascinating creatures that capture my imagination. The small scorpions, also known as hatchlings, live on their mother's back for a while after birth, during which time they grow rapidly. What's particularly remarkable is that baby scorpions are born with the instinct to kill, a trait that serves them well in the wild. However, if these young scorpions fall off their mother's back during a fight, they are on their own and must fend for themselves. If they try to return to their mother, there's a high risk of her attacking them due to non-recognition, mistakenly perceiving them as a threat.
