I stumbled upon these stunning mini terrariums after some careful planning and a visit to Ikea. I finally built one, and then I started thinking about artificial lighting. I visited several shops that sell garden supplies and discovered fantastic solar lights with a warm color of light, one battery, and a solar panel. They came in packs of 2 for around 5 euros, and I believe the store was called TEDI. I sketched out the entire glass jar from Ikea and built a cover on top of it. The connection process was quite straightforward - I simply desoldered the LEDs from the original light's PCB and did the same with the solar panel. To carefully dismount the solar panel from the light, I had to warm it up with a hair dryer as it was attached with hot glue. If you liked my work, consider buying me a coffee!
