Mini Talon VTOL Wing Frame Mounts for 14mm Tube Outriggers

I designed these custom attachment points to secure outriggers to the wings of my Mini Talon VTOL build. These attachment points connect the existing twin carbon fibre tube spars inside the Mini Talon wing to 14mm strong longitudinal outriggers hanging underneath each wing, forming an H-frame for the VTOL quadrotor motors to mount on (using my motor mounts: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3323368). To complete your build, you will need 4x the Upper part and 2x of each of the Lower ones. Printing with ABS or PETG at high infill and 0.20mm or lower layer height is recommended for good strength. While PLA can be used, be aware that it may become brittle after prolonged exposure to sunlight and/or rain. Assembly: Print out all the parts and verify that M3 screws fit through the holes cleanly (drilling out to 3.1 or 3.2mm if necessary) and that the central hole wraps a 14mm tube neatly. Mark and cut slots in the wings above the spar tubes (see pictures). Cut and remove foam deep enough for the Lower part to be inserted completely and snap onto the spar tube. Insert M3 lock nuts into the side holes of the Lower parts. Loosely screw the Upper parts on using M3x18 screws. Insert the 14mm tube into both the Front and Rear pair of mounts and space them correctly. Test-fit carefully. Tighten slowly, alternating between the two screws to ensure that the halves remain straight and are not crooked to one side. After verifying a proper fit, glue the Lower parts into the cut-out slots. I used UHU Por glue for this, but others may work. Make sure the glue covers both wide sides and the spar tube solidly, and insert the mounts all the way down to ensure a good fit on the spars.
