This is a twin motor mount design inspired by the Mini Talon twin motor conversion originally posted by Markqv.\r\n\r\nI made some changes to the design so that the motor is covered by a cowling and a 38mm spinner can be used to cover the pods. This makes the motor mounts look more aerodynamic and feel better in flight. I'm not sure if it will make any difference in performance since the Mini Talons are pretty slow flyers. The setup I used consists of two Turnigy D2830/11 1000Kv motors turning a 7x7" propeller powered by either a 3-cell Lipo or a 4-cell 18650 Li-ion battery pack.\r\n\r\nI also removed the spar from Markqv's design, which went through the wing. Instead, I glued the mounts to the wing using D4 PU construction glue, available at the link below.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, I added cooling inlet and outlet ducts on the motor mounts to keep the motors cool. These ducts allow for good airflow through the motors.\r\n\r\nThe motors are attached to the pods using M3x5x5 brass inserts, which can be found at Banggood or Aliexpress. The links to the used parts can be found at the bottom of this description.\r\n\r\nI printed the motor mounts using Fillamentum Vertigo gray filament, which has a great metallic look and works well with 38mm aluminum spinners.\r\n\r\nTo my surprise, the Vertigo gray filament prints really well without needing any special settings. A screenshot of my Cura settings can be found in the attached photos.\r\n\r\n####Used Products:\r\n\r\n#####Fillamentum Vertigo grey filament: https://fillamentum.com/products/pla-extrafill-vertigo-grey\r\n\r\n#####Brass M3x5x5 inserts: https://www.banggood.com/100pcs-M3x5x5mm-Metric-Threaded-Brass-Knurl-Round-Insert-Nuts-p-1050182.html?rmmds=buy\r\n\r\n#####D4 PU construction glue: https://www.bison.nl/nl/product.305\r\n\r\n#####Turnigy D2830/11 100Kv motors: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/d2830-11-1000kv-brushless-motor.html\r\n\r\n#####38mm aluminum spinner: Any 38mm spinner will do, I used some Robbe precision spinners I had on hand. Hobbyking or your local hobby store should carry them. Just make sure they support a 3.2 or 3.17mm axle to fit the D2830/11 motors.\r\n\r\n####Thanks to Markqv for the original idea!\r\n####Please post your builds!!\r\n\r\n###Changelog###\r\n- V1.1 The holes for the wires are slightly enlarged to fit motors where the first part of the wires is too stiff to bend around the edge directly.
