# Storm32 Gimbal Controller Roll Stabilization Project https://youtu.be/wSTm9eiLNCs *** Do Not Print - 2 Axis Don't Work as Expected, Check Video Attached *** **Introduction and Credits** Big thanks to Mark Q for the assortment of Mini Talon parts. He provided a 3D CAD model of the canopy that I modified and have attached here. Special credit goes to StuntDouble for his roll gimbal design for the mini talon, which inspired my own design. **Design Goals:** 1. Achieve roll stabilization with continuous rotation. 2. Enable pan (yaw) ability. 3. Make all gimbal-related components easily removable from the canopy. **Recommended Print Materials:** For structural parts, I recommend 100% infill for all four printed parts. Suitable materials include: 1. Nylon carbon (exotic) 2. PETG 3. ABS **Print Settings:** I'm currently test printing the design. The canopy will require some supports. I'll add more details once printed. **Parts and Bits:** Required components include: 1. 2 x Motors, GMB2804 2. 1 x Storm32 Gimbal controller, Storm32 NT 3. 1 x Slip ring with 4 contacts (optional for continuous roll rotation) 4. 10 x M3x8 button head screws 5. 10 x M3x6 button head screws 6. 3M double-sided tape for securing the IMU under the roll link 7. Zip ties for camera securing 8. Nylon M3 screws for Storm32 mounting **Revisions Tracking:** February 17, 2019 - R2, Roll and Yaw links updated, jig plate added, and 30.5 x 30.5 PDB adapters mounted below the Storm32 board. **Printed Parts Pictures:** * Roll Link R1 (ABS) ![alt text](http://i66.tinypic.com/2hf1hxv.jpg "Roll Link R1, ABS") ![alt text](http://i66.tinypic.com/23v1g2g.jpg "Roll Link R1, ABS") * Yaw Link R0 (PETG) ![alt text](http://i67.tinypic.com/nltyq9.jpg "Yaw Link R0, PETG") ![alt text](http://i63.tinypic.com/2u8ecmf.jpg "Yaw Link R0, PETG") **Open to Modification or Adjustment** If someone needs modifications or adjustments, I'll be happy to help.
