As my hood broke, it was high time to craft a new one that would serve me better. I had been sticking my GPS under the hood with tape, so I set out to design a hood specifically for GPS use. With this new hood in place, there's no need to rely on tape to locate your gear. The hinge mechanism functions smoothly, too. My only reservation is the lock system, which isn't quite up to par yet - but an upgrade is already in the works. Meanwhile, the extra weight is minimal, with this hood tipping the scales at just 9 grams more than its foam counterpart.
