The design originates from the specifications Makerbeam shared on Scribd; it stands 40mm tall, though you can alter the Sketchup file to create a 10cm (100mm) beam, which is the size Makerbeam plans to offer. A revised version of the 10cm beam is available in .stl format. To recreate this design, users need to employ the provided DXF file, initially created from a PDF, then use Sketchup to extrude it and export as STL. Additionally, a CMB file is available for Dimension printer users. Once calibrated, Makerbot owners can print these designs too. Update: 10cm beam in .stl format uploaded.
