Mini Split 1" PVC pipe drain cap
prusaprinters
I had a mini split installed a little over a year ago. On a Friday evening I started hearing water running in our sunroom on a humid but sunny day. Turns our our installer ran the short hose into a 1" 8' PVC pipe outside but did not attach it to the house. Instead they wedged it in behind the electrical wires. over the year the pipe slid and ended with the open end flat on the ground. Water built up in the pipe until it finally back flowed into the house. This drain end allows the base to sit on the ground without drilling through my new siding. The water flows freely. I added the cone to direct the water sideways. But I made the code removable if that helps someone else with the design. This was designed for 1" (1.315" OD) PVC but can be scaled for smaller and larger applications. The holes are 1mm and staged 2mm off centers. I printed in Overture black PETG and it is working well and hardly noticeable in my black mulch.
