Mini Spice Rack

pinshape

A compact and innovative Lazy Susan spice rack designed specifically for the CountertopChallenge. This unique project utilizes two CDs as a revolving mechanism, providing a smooth and quiet rotation experience. To create this clever device, you will need the following materials: * 2 CDs * Glue or double-sided tape * A threaded bolt, 1/2" long or slightly longer, with a thread diameter of 1/4" or less * A corresponding nut * 2 washers (optional but highly recommended) Printing requirements include ABS or PLA at 15% infill. The base and top must be printed with a diameter of 6 inches. The base should be 1/4" high, while the top is 1/2" high. For those who prefer a Lazy Susan without an edge lip, simply print another base instead of the top. The large indentation on this design is reserved for the CDs. Securely attach the label side of each CD to the indentation using glue or tape. Ensure that the shiny sides of the CDs face each other when assembling the top and base components. Insert a bolt through the center hole and tighten securely. Due to their low friction characteristics, the CDs enable smooth rotation without relying on ball bearings. Load up your favorite spices, hot sauces, and other condiments for an enjoyable and convenient cooking experience!
