Mini speakers/ USB/card player

I possess speakers at home that could be around 6 to 7 years old and were purchased from a specific location. The volume control button on these speakers appears somewhat transparent, which is an oversight in design. In my kitchen, the rendering of wooden lines is not accurate and seems unrealistic. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions you may have; thank you!
