Mini Soldering Fume Fan
thingiverse
I created this because I'm fed up with soldering on my projects and getting a face-full of potentially hazardous particles. I built two halves, one holding the fan and the other containing a 9v battery and an on-off toggle switch. The tolerances are incredibly tight so currently I have the fan held together by friction fit between the two halves as well as securing the battery and motor in place. The motor/fan was salvaged from a laptop cooling unit. I've included the .ipt files because it's highly unlikely that anyone will have the same exact parts as mine. I printed it in ABS which is why huge cracks are visible on the sides of the base part but I can deal with that issue. I hope this part will be helpful to some of you!
