Mini servo gripper, routerized
thingiverse
The mini servo gripper (available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2415) has been routerized and customized for 6.7 mm plywood usage. A 1.5 mm spiral cutter is utilized in 1 mm passes during the process. The mechanical functionality of this design is commendable, but a servo shield still needs to be created. When using metal gear mini servos, avoid plastic geared ones as they can easily break. An updated design with enhanced gears can be found at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5034. To assemble this project, follow the cut and assemble instructions. Ensure a full plywood thickness space is maintained between the holder and geared arms. The recommended screw size is m3x30, and nuts can be blocked using superglue. Future iterations may incorporate real involuted gears for improved design. Have fun with this project!
