Mini Servo Coupling
thingiverse
This mini servo coupling connects a "mini series" RC servo to a 4mm rod, with ease of printing on an Ultimaker. It boasts a tiny hole for a M2 screw securing the coupling towards the servo and another fixing the rod (after drilling a small hole). A video demonstration and more close-up photos are available at a shared link. The part's dimensions may not be precise, necessitating slight scaling during printing to achieve a proper fit. Various slicers produce different results due to varying threshold values for small details. Printing at 0.1mm layer thickness is recommended, with lower thresholds for minute details and cautious speed for this small part. See pictures of various slicing results on another shared link. The finished coupling will feature in a flying object soon, ready to print; follow updates on Google+ or Thingiverse. Source files in Autodesk Inventor format may be available upon request after the weekend.
