Mini Screwdriver Shelf

Mini Screwdriver Shelf

I was inspired by a design I saw online for a mini shelf, but unfortunately, that design had very small holes and didn't fit my recently found mini screwdrivers (hex). Luckily, I had exactly the right hex screwdrivers from my days playing with RC Helicopters, which were 3/4 sizes larger than I needed for the Creality Ender 3 printer. The only one missing was the 4.0 used for frame assembly, and that Allen wrench is with my printer accessories. I designed this wall-mounted holder in Fusion 360 to hold all my mini screwdrivers. It's not a perfect design as I tried to get a very light back skin on the shelf under the "label plate." The label plate is a VERY tight fit, sometimes requiring me to trim off little lock-in tabs to make it fit. The best part of this print is the clearly legible text using 2 colors of filament. It's a great way to welcome users to the M600 command, which most printers support out of the box. Unfortunately, my Ender 3 SKR v1.3 motherboard firmware didn't support it, so I updated my Firmware by downloading the latest Marlin 2.0.x bugfix and flashing my SKR v1.3 board with 2208s in UART mode. When you slice the nameplate, print it separately from the shelf. Prusa Slicer (current version) and Cura 4.6.x both support the M600 command. If you need help, check out Chep's video on Filament Friday for a great explanation with Cura (latest version). The fitment of the nameplate holds itself in without glue, which is exactly what I was going for. Be patient and squeeze it in place – it's worth the effort! I hope you enjoy this Thing. Happy plastic melting.
