Mini Screw Jack
thingiverse
I designed a mini screw jack model to level a fixed leg tripod for my Orion HDX 110 EQ-G telescope, inspired by its sleek design. The device consists of four main components: a base, a bolt, a collar, and a stop. To enhance functionality, I added knurling to the bolt, collar, and base, which were not present in the original design. Two holes on the side allow for easier tightening or loosening using a small cheater bar. The stop is an optional feature that can be attached to the end of the bolt to prevent separation from the base. To assemble the device, I used two 3mm button head screws. The model comes with both long and short versions of the bolt, differing by only 4mm in length. With the stop and screws in place, the bolt may protrude slightly from the bottom of the base, but this is not a significant issue. For added comfort, you can apply adhesive-backed rubber or cork to the bottom of the base, achieving a suitable thickness that resolves the problem with the bolt's length or simply using the shorter bolts.
