Mini screw driver and holder
prusaprinters

I had an old socket set of screw driver tips which I never used because I was too lazy to put them in the body. So I printed the handles and popped the tips in. Now I have a full set of screw drivers ready to rumble.

Blue tack worked well to keep the tips in. But I opted to heat the socket end up with a bunsen burner (holding with pliers obviously) and then stick them in the PLA handle. I then dropped the unit into some water.

While I got the basic idea from thingyverse all the files are generated from scratch. The main advantages of this design over the ones in thingverse is that the screw drivers can "stand up" on the table as their bottoms are flat and that they have a holder which displays them. Also the openscad files are available for you to modify.

Photo 1 is the finished product
Photo 2 is the handle and the holder
Photo 3 is me welding the handle and tips together.

Print instructions

Printed on mini at 20m/s
