Mini ROFI
thingiverse
This 1/3 scale model replicates all parts of bipedal robot ROFI, but uses printed electronics and servos; it doesn't move on its own without imagination. The creator made it to test their new Replicator 2 printer. They discovered its potential for prototyping future robots and as a gateway to robot building. However, the model requires a printer with fine detail capabilities. It suggests printing servos in black plastic and other parts in favorite colors. Non-3D printed parts include screws and an LED holder. Follow ROFI's instructions but skip servo prep and calibration steps. The 4mm screws are for body, 20mm for joints, and 8mm for heels and electronics. A single part forms front, right, left, and top body panels for strength. Heels attach to batteries in feet, and an LED serves as a power indicator. Some parts can be printed or metalic silver Sharpie used for a metallic look.
