The box is printed, the acrylic is 3mm thick and laser engraved with a 20w Neje laser.
Settings were 20% laser power with 30ms. Took about 2.5 hours to engrave.
I cut it to size after slowly with a dremel. Do it bit by bit to not heat up the plastic.

To be able to engrave clear plastic, color it black with a permanent marker first. Then when its done engraving use WD40 to clean it off, as nail polish remover will damage the acrylic.

Also make sure you engrave it mirrored as you want the engraved side to be the closest to the led lights. In other words you turn the acryclic piece upside down once it's done.

The board is a D1 mini pro v3, which is different then the v1 and 2, so pay attention to that.

The leds used are Ws2812b, wildly available on alieexpress etc.
If your color seems off when programmed you might need to switch the rgb order around, more information on that is here:

https://esphome.io/components/light/fastled.html?highlight=fast
