Mini Nintendo Famicom (with Famicom Disk System!)
thingiverse
The Famicom was indeed a friendly beast from the East that came to the rescue of video games in the US after the Atari crash. Known as the NES by American gamers, here it is in its original Japanese form - a lot more adorable than you might expect! As an added bonus, I've included the Famicom Disk System, one of Nintendo's many innovative but commercially unsuccessful ideas. This build is straightforward and requires just two colors: red and white plastic. The controller parts are symmetrical, so you may need to adjust them slightly depending on the type of plastic you use and how it shrinks during printing. I print mine in PLA, which works well.
