Mini-MPCNC (1/2 EMT Variant)
thingiverse
Mini-MPCNC (1/2 EMT Variant) We're still refining this design, aiming to build around 12-15 units before spring. Initially, we adapted the MPCNC files for the 23.5 mm version. Scaling varied between 75% and 80%, depending on whether parts included bearings (626 bearings). Those with bearings were scaled at 80%, while most others received a 75% scaling factor. This Mini-MPCNC isn't intended for heavy-duty subtractive manufacturing, but rather suited for holding tools like drag knives, pens, plastic material extruders, and lasers. We're grateful to the Vicious Circle team for their outstanding work on the MPCNC. You can find a discussion topic in the Vicious1.com forum under "Builds and Things Built" called "Smaller MPCNC based on 1/2 EMT". The necessary files include a Bill of Materials in 0_5EMT_MPCNC.pdf and a print parts BOM with time & materials in print_BOM_mini_mpcnc.pdf. Special thanks to Molly Carton, Ashley Combs, Josh Hamel, Eloise Perrochet, Duane Storti, and Ben Weiss for their contributions. Print Settings: Printer: Flashforge Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: 0.2 mm Infill: 35-50% (see Print_BOM) Shells: 3 How I Designed This We adapted the MPCNC files and scaled most of them, redesigning those that required it using Rhino3D.
