I revamped Jakejake's Mini Monster Truck With Suspension. I liked the concept of printed suspension, but I wanted more possibilities for the Monster Truck body. Designing and printing tongue and groove assemblies had been successful for me, so I combined that with jakejake's truck. I created multiple option bodies and included a blank template for those who want to design their own. Jakejake's truck body was imported into Solid Works, where the top was cut off and the tongue was added. My MonsterTruck and MonsterStealth designs were created in Solid Works. My first design was inspired by the smart, but an image was used in Inkscape, so it wasn't truly my creation. The blank template has the groove stop set at the right distance to the lines that mark the axle distance. Plain versions of the Smart and Truck were made, but I prefer the swoop lines on the originals. This design reduces the need for support. The support version of the body was printed, but all the tops can be printed without any support. The tongue and grooves have 0.2mm clearance. They fit tightly, but if the edges are sanded, they should slide fairly smoothly. Happy printing!
