Mini Mill X -Y Axis Gib adjusting plate (harbor or littlemachines)
thingiverse
I was frustrated with the standard X-Y Axis Gib adjusting screws, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's struggled to get them adjusted accurately. I found a solution by designing this simple modification. The goal is for the plastic plate to maintain friction with the screws, preventing vibrations in the machine from causing them to rotate. This system is incredibly easy to calibrate; you can use the same screws as before without needing the original nuts. I highly recommend printing it in ABS with 100% infill, as PLA may not provide enough strength and the piece might break when inserting the screw. You won't need rafts; I've included them in the design for convenience.
