mini micro joystick
thingiverse
I designed this holder to accommodate a surface mount 5-way momentary switch joystick, eliminating the need for direct soldering onto a circuit board. The Amazon part number for this item is A13070200UX0703. To ensure proper alignment, shave off some of the automation locator nubs on the micro switch's bottom so it will lie flat. This project may not be impressive to everyone, but it exactly meets my requirements - a perfect example of 3D printing's versatility. I'm replacing a poorly designed joystick on a child's remote control excavator and this holder has been a game-changer. If you're facing a similar issue, feel free to ask for more details. Note that there are two bottom STL files provided: a generic one (bottom0.stl) and a specific one (bottom.stl) tailored to my application. You can actually skip the bottom part if you plan to mount it on a flat surface. The holder features holes for 3mm bolts, making installation a breeze.
