Parts safe for printing: MiniMasterSpoolBottomV5, MiniMasterSpoolTopV6 [Updated: 03-03-2018] The MiniMasterSpool Is currently in a very usable state. I have updated the bottom to V5 and the top to V6 respectively. There are three cable tie ditches available for pulling filament off the spool or putting it back on. A hole through the center allows you to insert the end of the filament. Four filament end storage locations keep the end of the filament in a safe spot, enabling stacking as well. I have thickened the spool ends to reduce flexing when winding or adding filament to the spool. The Yellow portion was printed on a Prusa I2 and the white half on my Mp select Mini V2. Do not use support material at all! If you do, you will have a fun time cleaning the threads... Please let me know if you print this spool, leave any comments or suggestions. Thanks. [Updated: 02-28-2018] Fusion 360 crashed on me and I lost a few modifications to the spool. I'll have to fire everything back up again and get back to where I was. I'll update as soon as I can. [Updated: 02-19-2017 9:39PM] This update has not been tested yet. I have added end management to the spool, reduced the thickness in some spaces for less filament use and quicker print times. Currently at 0.3mm layer height and 50mm/s bottom prints at about 2 1/2 hours with no raft. I am printing MiniMasterSpoolTopV3 and MiniMasterSpoolBottomV2. I will update when I have printed these sets. [Updated: 02-19-2017 6:14AM] The spool works, you should be able to print. Results may vary by printer. [Updated: 02-18-2017 10:28PM] Warning: The Thing is being test-printed right now. Test print threading matches, printing V2 of top now. I'll add filament management features soon. Summary: I have an MP select Mini V2 with a build volume of 120,120,120 (mm). So I wanted a spool that I could print on that printer. Enter the Mini Master Spool, modeled after RichRap's awesome Master Spool design. This one does not have all the bells and whistles of his as of yet. I will update the spool to provide such features. This spool may work for sample filaments or just bits of filament you have laying around. It is a little smaller than the 250gram .5kilo spools, I don't remember what one this is. The bottom printed portion sits on an injected mini spool for reference.
