Remix of my Vintage Mars Lander, modified for printing at 50% scale. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2670642 The full-size mars lander's thin walls and exterior details don't scale down well, so I redesigned it to print perfectly at 50%. It retains all the same components and twist-lock connectors. I used a 0.8mm wall thickness, which is ideal for printing with a 0.3 to 0.4mm nozzle and one perimeter layer to achieve inner and outer extrusions of 0.4mm each. The examples shown are printed in MARS 3D PLA. Decals were created by scaling down an image of the original Estes decal sheet, then printing on Avery clear label stock with an inkjet printer and covering it with Scotch laminating sheet.
