I redesigned the base to fit Adafruit's neopixel 16 bit ring and trinket mini controller. I scaled up the mid section and top to accommodate the new base. Plug it into your USB port. Use the "Strand Test" Arduino code from Adafruit to drive the neopixels. 08/05/2017 I created a standalone base, so you don't have to plug it into a USB port. Pick the base that you prefer. It uses a pushbutton toggle switch to turn it on and off. All components are glued in with hot glue. 08/07/2017 I added an LED holder. Glue this into the bottom of the top item of the lighthouse. You can glue a 5 mm LED into it and run a wire down the center of the tower. Attach it to a PWM pin on the Trinket, I used pin #0, and use the code I provide to blink and fade the LED. 09/02/2017 My wife needed giveaways for her quilt guild. So, I created a sign to glue on the front of the lighthouse (see photo). I included the FreeCAD source code for the sign. The Arduino code has been modified to display a more pleasant light show. I also added a wiring diagram.
