**NOTE:** This compact case is designed as a replacement for the Chinese LED dimmer: [DC 12V 8A Light Dimmer Brightness Control For Single Color LED Strip ED](http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DC-12V-8A-Light-Dimmer-Brightness-Control-For-Single-Color-LED-Strip-ED-/112094193701). Many similar models are available on eBay, and choosing one with the same design is sufficient. One day I decided to open a cheap Chinese LED dimmer from eBay, and was shocked to find it almost completely empty with wasted space. To address this issue, I designed this compact case which acts as a replacement. **Features** * The very compact design significantly reduces the size of the original case. * Simple assembly requires only buying three extra screws and reusing other screws from the original dimmer. * Comes with three different bottom parts: A normal one, one with a mount for the Anet A8 printer, and one which can be mounted on the AM8 frame using 2 regular M5*10 screws. **Assembly** * Disassemble the original LED dimmer and salvage all the parts. You won't need the four larger screws or the original case. * Print the Mini LED Dimmer Case. You will need the top and bottom parts. For the bottom, you can choose the normal version, the one which mounts on the Anet A8 printer, or one which can be mounted on the AM8 frame. The Anet A8 version is designed to mount on the right side by default, but you may mirror the model in your slicer if you prefer to print it on the left side. The AM8 version can be mounted anywhere on the AM8 frame. * Insert the PCB into the bottom part and secure it using the two tiny screws from the original dimmer. * Insert the potentiometer into the top part and secure it using the original nut. The top part has small nubs on the inside which will hold it in place while you tighten the nut. * Press the two parts together and use three M3x18 screws with smaller heads to fasten them. I used extra screws from my Anet A8 printer. * If you printed the Anet A8 mount version, remove the screws on the top right of the printer's frame and install the dimmer using them. * If you printed the AM8 mount version, mount it on the frame using 2 M5*10 screws. * Wire the dimmer exactly like the original.
